i wanna wear a dress

about

Fashion can be used as an incredibly powerful tool. We communicate visually before we do verbally. So, in a sense, what we're wearing is our first statement in a conversation. "I wanna wear a dress" can be taken literally, but it also equates to a desire to be daring and original. Clothing can give people confidence, express values and politics, bond us with friends, and function as disguise or armor! Getting dressed is a daily ritual And your sex shouldn't determine what you are expected to wear .. The dress is transcendent!

lyrics

--------------------------------------------------

do the garments that we put on everyday help shape our lives?
is there connection between appearance and the habits of ones mind?
flow and seduction of a robe so elegant
cashmere, silk, cotton, satin, lace and velvet
daring, detail, fabulous design
politics, armor, sex and disguise

(feast your eyes)

very, very baggy pleated trousers just won't cut it
hanging from the waists of young university undergraduates
freedom in comfort
strength in adornment
'scuse me while i slip into something more transcendent
confidence, shape, hue, ritual
pattern, style, shade, value

i wanna wear a dress
wear a dress
i wanna wear a dress
wear a dress

does the garb that we wear everyday shape our lives?
is there connection between appearance and the habits of mind
flow and seduction of a robe so special
cotton, lace, velvet, silk, satin and cashmere
daring detail! detail! design
fabulous armor, politics, sex and disguise

i wanna wear a dress
wear a dress
i wanna wear a dress
